Treatment for Breathing and Myofunctional Disorders (Ages 3–15)
The Myosa® for Kids KS2 is designed to help treat breathing and myofunctional disorders in children aged 3–15. Developed by MRC after more than 30 years of experience, the Myosa® for Kids range provides a simple, non-invasive way to address poor oral habits without the need for orthodontic treatment.
Many children develop mouth breathing, incorrect tongue posture, and poor swallowing habits, which can affect healthy jaw and facial development. The KS2 appliance helps correct these habits safely and comfortably, making it an ideal solution for healthcare practitioners who want to treat breathing and myofunctional disorders without performing orthodontic procedures.
Establish Healthy Nasal Breathing and Oral Habits
The KS2 is intended for children in the mixed dentition stage who are mouth breathers or have poor myofunctional habits. It encourages nasal breathing while helping retrain the muscles of the lips, tongue, and jaw.
As breathing and oral habits improve, patients may progress to the Myobrace® System, which focuses on myofunctional orthodontic treatment to further improve dental alignment and support healthy facial development.
