For patients in the mixed dentition with a Class III malocclusion

The Myobrace® Interceptive Class III system is a three-stage appliance designed to treat Class III malocclusion during the mixed dentition stage. As many Class III cases involve an underdeveloped upper jaw (maxilla), treatment focuses on encouraging maxillary arch development while correcting poor breathing and myofunctional habits.

For optimal results and long-term stability, the appliance is often used alongside the BWS and Myolay™ arch development techniques.

Arch Development & Ongoing Habit Correction

The i-3® appliance is the second stage of treatment and is designed to continue arch development while reinforcing healthy oral habits.

Small breathing holes encourage continuous nasal breathing, while built-in myofunctional features help improve tongue position, swallowing, and muscle function. The innovative Dynamicore™ inner cage provides additional support for upper arch development and further assists with habit correction.

Once the arch form, breathing, and myofunctional habits have improved, patients can progress to the i-3H appliance.

• Dynamicore™ (Frankel Cage) increases appliance rigidity for enhanced arch expansion.
• Small breathing holes promote consistent nasal breathing.
• Tongue tag encourages correct tongue tip positioning.
• Tongue elevator helps guide the tongue to rest naturally against the roof of the mouth.
• High side walls keep the cheeks and lips away from the teeth, supporting arch development while improving appliance retention.
