How to measure the size of interdental spaces:

1. Clamp or click (depending on the type of holder) the IAP probe into the holder.
2. Carefully push the probe between the teeth until it can go no further.
3. The colour that can just still be seen between the teeth indicates the colour of the CPS brush that will fit and clean between these teeth while also filling the space.
4. Enter the result of the measurement in the IAC chart. This will ensure your patients are also perfectly clear about which areas need to be cleaned. Patients should take the IAC chart home to remember the right size.
